Materials

The Pnod required three basic materials for construction:

• liner
• underlay
• edging stones

The edging stones already existed in the form of the paving slabs which covered the location of the Pnod. These were cut to size with a disc-cutter.

The other materials were purchased on the internet from Pond Liners Direct Ltd, now defunct.

The liner consisted of 1mm heavy duty butyl rubber, or 'Butylite'.

The underlay was made of a non-woven polyester fabric, 440gram M2 'Geotextile'.
